‘The first Architect we approached came up with designs so far off the mark, it made me think this was going to be more his home than ours’. Then they met with designer/builder David from Seed original buildings, who they had seen working on a nearby house. ‘David was entirely sympathetic to our ideas and couldn’t have been more helpful’, enthuses Julia.
‘As well as organising our planning application to add an extra wing incorporating a new sitting room, David managed the whole project. This meant we were able to take a trip to Australia while the work was going on, and David kept us up to date by email.’
‘We love our new home and would definitely recommend David and the excellent and dedicated team at Seed’.
‘We’d always liked oak framed houses and the framework for the house was built in exactly the same way as it would have been in the 16th century. All the wooden pieces were numbered and peg jointed together’.
‘We love the open-plan feel of the interior. When friends come to dinner we can chat while preparing the meal, then chill in front of a roaring fire in the living room if its cold. We are pleased with the way it fits in with the surroundings, its got an earthiness about it, houses should blend with the landscape’.
‘Instead of sending you a Christmas card, we thought that we would send a photograph of the house in the snow. Thank you so much for all your hard work we are so pleased with everything. Happy Christmas to you and your team’.
